Wesley Pocket Prairie

What started as a vision by the members of the Wesley Green Team in the summer of 2022 has blossomed into a thriving ecosystem. Our Wild Pocket initiative aimed to attract living creatures, foster pollination, and create a sanctuary for local flora and fauna.

But that's not all! We are proud to share that our garden has been officially registered with the University of Illinois Extension Service Pollinator Pocket Project. Moreover, the Urbana Park District Natural Areas Study Group shows significant interest and involvement in the prairie.

Would you like to learn more about the Wesley Wild Pocket or get involved in our green initiatives or get emails about what is happening on the prairie?
