Due to recent events involving the Covid-19 virus we, your Wesley Leadership Team have deep concerns for our members’ and guests’ safety. We have decided to adopt alternative online forms of worship with the congregation beginning on Sunday, March 22.
As of this moment we will have our regularly scheduled 9:30 Traditional Worship Service in the Sanctuary and regular 11:15 Contemporary Worship Service in the Great Hall this Sunday, March 15.
However, due to the potential severity of the Covid-19 virus we are encouraging our older adults to stay at home in order to protect yourselves from the potential risk of contracting the Covid-19 virus.
Beginning on Sunday, March 22we will be offering a recorded Traditional worship service available online at www.wesleyui.org/media and YouTube. Our 11:15 Contemporary Worship will be a live-streamed interactive worship service. More information on these alternative forms of worship and how to access them will be coming to you through next weeks Wesley Weekly email on Thursday, March 19.
Also, since we will not be gathering in person on Sunday, March 22 we will also not be hosting Sunday School for our children and youth. Our Director of Christian Education, Liz Martin will be reaching out to parents to provide them with in-home Sunday School lessons and Lenten devotion ideas. These detailed lessons will allow you to provide the same lessons we would teach children on Sundays but at your home as a safer alternative.
Finally, we would like to thank all of you for your understanding as we transition to our alternative online worship. We will do our best to make this process easily accessible and as smooth a transition as possible. Hopefully we can all return to our beautiful Wesley spaces in the near future.
