Books for Literary Tea announced

Empire of the Summer Moon by S. C. Gwynne Quanah Parker and the Rise and Fall of the Comanches, the most powerful Indian tribe in American History.

Mayflower by Nathaniel Philbrick.  A well  researched account of the real people with whom the story of our country begins.

Destiny of the Republic by Candice Millard, A Tale of Madness, Medicine and the Murder of a President (James Garfield).

The Last Call by Daniel Okrent, The Rise and Fall of Prohibition.

Lords of Finance by Liaquat Ahamed, The Bankers who Broke the World .

Unbroken by Laura Hillenbrand, A World War 2 Story of Survival, Resilience and Redemption.

The Literary Tea will be on Sunday afternoon, January 29th, from 2-4:30 p.m.

The book reviewers will include Jean and Dick Flood, Lois and Ernie Gullerud, Paul Kapp, Morgan Lynge and Mike McCulley.

These books will make great winter evening reading. Plan to come and spend a literary afternoon with friends at Wesley in late January to hear about them.
